Museum in the Classroom is an inquiry-based program using images of museum objects in the classroom to develop visual literacy skills and create cross-curricular connections. Multi part programs can be designed to include Museum Liaison services as well.

Program Types
One Part Program: 3-4 objects explored, 1 hands-on activity
Two Part Program: 6-8 objects explored over 2 lessons, 2 hands-on activities
Three Part Program: 8-10 objects explored over 3 lessons, hands-on activities + final project



Students Will
* Investigate, question, & observe primary source objects
* Build rich descriptions using visual literacy skills
* Interpret and hypothesize based on evidence
* Prove theories based on observation & research
* Discover museums as resources and learn how they operate



Jessica Will
* Work with teachers to select program themes aligned with curriculum.
* Design custom in-school program using museum resources online
*Teach one, two or three-part programs in the classroom
